Isha Sharvani Biography
Isha
Sharvani’s name literally means Goddess Parvati, or the one who is
married to the God of dance, Shiva. When Isha was seven years old, she
began training in dance under her danseuse mother Daksha Seth. While
still very young, Isha had wanted to be a vet but she changed her
ambition because she “cannot give injections to animals and cannot see
them in pain”.
So she decided to be a dancer like her mother.
She has performed in as many as 22 countries in last seven years. She
is trained in gymnastics, martial arts, yoga, ballet, kathak, aerial
dance and more. Mixing the elements of all these skills, Isha has, with
her mother’s help, developed a unique style of dancing that leaves
people awe-struck.
It was her dancing skills that brought her to
the notice of filmmaker Subhash Ghai who offered her a befitting role
in his movie Kisna.
Isha is open to both art and commercial cinema.
